Open to all Sigma Alpha Omega Alumnae in good standing! The Sigma Alpha Omega Foundation is opening its application pool to welcome new Directors.

Directors are required to attend a monthly teleconference and additional “emergency” teleconference meetings, as needed, as well as attend all annual meetings during their entire term. There is also an expectation to proactively be available via GroupMe. This volunteer position is as challenging as it is rewarding, and can require 5-15 hours of work a week. The time commitment varies from each position but should not be underestimated.

The positions available are for two-year terms beginning July 2022 and ending June 2024.  The positions will be filled based on a vote from the current Sisters by Grace Board of Directors. Roles being recruited are Secretary, Treasurer, President, Vice President, and Director of Public Relations.

The Secretary will be responsible for taking minutes, maintaining the organization's records, and general correspondence. The Treasurer will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing funds, will oversee the budget, and chair all fundraising efforts. The Director of Public Relations will maintain the foundation website, provide contributions to Dove Love, and maintain our social media presence. The Vice President shall assist the President in all operating functions of the foundation and will assume the role of President if the President isn't available to do so. The President will oversee all efforts to maintain a fully operational Foundation, will be the point of contact with the SAO National Board of Directors and will oversee all Foundation board members.  

The application for the Board of Directors shall be open until all positions are filled. After your application is received and reviewed you will be contacted for a short informal interview in which the board will have an opportunity to ask you questions regarding your interest and qualification in joining the board. At this time you'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
