Applications for the SBG Board of Directors

Interested in giving back to the sisterhood of Sigma Alpha Omega? Consider joining the Sisters By Grace Board of Directors! Open to all Sigma Alpha Omega Alumnae in good standing, the SBG Board of Directors oversees all operations of the 501(c)(3) Foundation including administration, fundraising, and programming.
Directors are required to attend a monthly teleconference and additional “emergency” teleconference meetings, as needed, as well as attend all annual meetings during their entire term. There is also an expectation to proactively be available via GroupMe. This volunteer position is as challenging as it is rewarding, and can require 5-15 hours of work a week. The time commitment varies from each position but should not be underestimated.
The positions available are for two-year terms beginning July 2020 and ending June 2022. The positions will be filled based on a vote from the current Sisters by Grace Board of Directors. We are currently seeking to fill the roles of Secretary, Director of PR, and Director of Ministry, though there may be room on the board for additional positions. The Secretary will be responsible for taking minutes, maintaining the organization's records, and general correspondence. The Director of PR will maintain the SBG website, contributions to the Dove Love, and social media presence. The Director of Ministry will execute programs such as Christmas and Easter Buddies, and grants.
